Meenakshi Kurpad
Meenakshi is an associate in the Firm's US Finance Practice and focuses on acquisition and leveraged finance, corporate debt and debt capital markets.
Meenakshi joined the US finance team in 2023. Based in London, she advises on a broad range of cross-border debt and structured financing transactions. Her experience includes acquisition and leveraged finance, structured finance, asset finance and debt capital markets transactions, including high yield bonds and US private placements.
Qualified to practice in New York, England & Wales and India, Meenakshi previously worked as an associate in the leveraged finance and private credit team of leading US law firm in London. Prior to moving to the UK, Meenakshi was an associate in the top-ranked Banking & Finance practice of a leading Indian law firm, based in their Mumbai office.
Background
Meenakshi graduated with an LLM from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and received the Dean's Honors awards for courses in International Banking & Finance and Global Financial Regulation. She received a B.A., LL.B.(Hons.) degree from the National University of Juridical Sciences, India, where she was a gold medallist and a member of the Board of Editors of the Journal of Indian Law and Society.
